Skincare co-op seeks young sales agents

Joomo logo

New skincare co-operative Joomo is offering a unique opportunity to 16-24 year-olds – to earn money and learn ethical enterprise skills by selling its natural face wash, specially formulated for young skin.

Young people will have the chance to become owners and shareholders in the business, which has developed the first 100 per cent natural face wash for young skin. It is hoped that young people will eventually take over the organisation, so it is a co-operative run by young people for young people with young people electing their own management committee and running the business themselves.

The product was developed in collaboration with young people, and is made, created and designed in Britain, although its ingredients come mainly from the developing world.

In response to the challenging job market, young people are invited sell Joomo’s products through social media such as Facebook, by word-of-mouth, or by setting up stalls at College, either as their full-time job or to earn extra money in their spare time. An initial investment of £50 for marketing materials and product samples will be needed, and stock can be bought at a wholesale price. Young people selling the product will take up to 20 per cent of each sale made.
