Fulston Manor School Young Co-operative's glass sale

Jack Palmer from Fulston Manor Young Co-operative

Jack Palmer, a member of the Young Co-operative at Fulston Manor School, a co-operative Business & Enterprise College in Sittingbourne, Kent, ran an evening of sales of handmade glass jewellery and dishes on Wednesday 5 December.

Jack explained to the group of 35 ladies how the project started up and how the business, which is called‘ A Glass Act’, is run by young students from the school. The ladies were very impressed with the items produced by students and over £100 worth of goods were sold.
Mrs Fitzjohn, Office Manager, listened to Jack grow more and more confident as he spoke and said how proud of him she was. It has been decided that any profit will be donated to The Harmony Therapy Trust, a local charity offering holistic treatments to patients with life-limiting conditions.
