Dalai Lama to visit Manchester's youth

Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama is doing a world tour and is stopping off in Manchester to speak to the 14-25 year old youth of the city on Saturday 16 June.

The MEN arena will be filled with 12,500 young people in a show of unity across the city, promoting a culture of non-violence and dialogue.

Entry to this event is free for young people and transport is also being supported in a number of cases.

If you think you would be able to bring a ‘bus-load’ of young people with you, contact Hubert Cecil on 07775 671657 or at herbertcecil1@gmail.com. Give him an idea of numbers first, then confirm final numbers to receive group booking tickets in the post. These will go fast so be quick!

Or if, it is a small number, you can book direct at the MEN at www.dalailama2012uk.org/16juneyouthevent.html.

This is a one-off event for Manchester youth and will have a fantastic buzz on the afternoon, which will never be repeated again.

For more information, or support if required, please contact Phil Arnold, Director of the Greater Manchester Co-op Enterprise Learning Partnership, on 07720 525 329 or at p_arnold@reddish.stockport.sch.uk.
