Students at Forest Gate Community School, a co-operative school in Newham, east London, had a cool end to Fairtrade Fortnight. During Fairtrade Friday, supported by the school’s local Co-operative, young co-operators were served free ice cream by a visiting ice cream van.

Local primary school students also had the chance to attend the day and staff were treated to a free ethical breakfast using Fairtrade, organic and free range ingredients.

The event was attended by VIPs including Lyn Brown, MP for West Ham.
